Enhancement of the intranet phone book
Project duration: 7 months
Brief description
The existing intranet solution will be enhanced with an automatic check of speed dialing information from the telecommunications systems via HTTP protocol. In addition, the interface functionality will be enhanced with a feature for releasing or locking the personal photo and WCF access to the central HR master record will be adjusted to modified data structures. By implementing a cache with simultaneous updates, retrieval of search results can be significantly accelerated.
Supplement
The project is managed in Visual Studio 2010 Team Foundation Server. Current Microsoft .NET technologies (.NET 4.0 Entity Framework) are used. The synchronization of speed dial data requires knowledge of HTTP protocol. Parallel threads are used for updating the data cache.
