EPI migration .NET

Brief description
The existing EPI (Elecsys Planning Instrument) system is used to create and manage production plans and is created with VS 2003 (.NET 1.1). The project task was to migrate the tool to .NET 3.5 (VS 2008 Professional) including upgrades of components used from "FarPoint" and "ComponentOne", as well as to increase performance. The overall production plan can be edited using Drag&Drop.
Supplement
The migration wizard in VS 2008 Professional migrated the main section of code. Control types that are no longer supported (menu and button toolbars) have been converted manually and the most up-to-date versions have been reimplemented for the additional components "FarPoint" and "ComponentOne".
Subject description
Planning must be permanently adjusted and expanded to the production processes. Planning must be validated, especially for larger batches of products that have not previously been produced. There are also rules for production series, since diverse production processes can depend upon previous productions. Overall, there are many conditions that must comply with a production plan. These are automatically checked by the system and automated.
