EVOS Report Modernization

Brief description
Replacement of the current report engine (Component One) in the EVOS (Inventor's Compensation) application with Microsoft Reporting Services.
Supplement
The report engine (Component One) installed in EVOS was to be replaced by a non-cost solution. The choice fell on Microsoft Reporting Services. The background of the replacement was that many applications were outsourced to another service provider, and thus the EVOS project itself had to bear the costs for Component One's library (including the report engine). Since only a small fraction of this library was used, it was possible to rebuild also the missing functions. The new reports were created on the basis of the existing reports.
Subject description
The EVOS application contains a large number of predefined reports that can be quickly created via a selection dialog. These reports are used for internal purposes in the department, but also for communication with other departments.
