Extension of fault information tool

Project duration: 3 months

Brief description

The fault information tool available on the Internet is the central system for publishing faults and planned supply interruptions for network operators. PTA extends this software with further functions, including the determination of the postcode by clicking on the corresponding location on the map or the optimised display of polygons for locations that consist of several non-contiguous areas. The project approach is agile according to Scrum.

Supplement

Technically, the module uses Java with Spring Boot and a microservices architecture in the backend. Angular is used in the frontend. Due to the high quality requirements, automated tests must be carried out in addition to static code analysis, which must have a coverage of more than 80% of the entire source code. Various tools, such as Sonarqube, Karma, etc. are used for this. Everyting is set up using continuous integration/continuous deployment based on Docker containers.

Subject description

The fault information tool informs customers and employees about faults and planned supply interruptions. The internal processes for handling faults are defined by workflows and enable the fault centre staff and dispatchers to handle faults efficiently. Various systems exist that supply data (faults) to the tool. In the other direction, systems are connected that receive information from the incident information tool. This integration enables efficient processing of faults. Furthermore, disruption information can be published promptly and in a target group-specific manner.
