Fault information tool

Project duration: 11 months

Brief description

The fault information tool available on the Internet is the central system for publishing faults and planned supply interruptions at network operators. The PTA implements this software according to the technical and professional specifications of openKONSEQUENZ and the involvement of IT security specialists. The project procedure is agile according to Scrum.

Supplement

PTA provides the Scrum Master, who is responsible for ensuring the agile approach in the project. The development team implements the defined user stories sprint by sprint. Technically, the module uses Java with Spring Boot and a microservices architecture in the backend. Angular is used in the frontend. Due to the high quality requirements, not only static code analysis but also automated tests have to be performed, which must cover more than 80% of the entire source code. Various tools such as Sonarqube, Karma, etc. are used for this purpose. The whole thing is set up using a Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment based on Docker containers.

Subject description

The malfunction information tool informs customers and employees about malfunctions and planned supply interruptions. The internal processes for fault handling are defined by workflows and enable the fault location employees and dispatchers to handle the faults efficiently. There are various systems that supply data (faults) to the tool. In the other direction, systems are connected which receive information from the fault information tool. This integration enables efficient processing of malfunctions. Furthermore, fault information can be published promptly and target group-specific.
