iBaanERP launch in extreme job production

Project duration: 8 months

Brief description

iBaanERP is to be introduced for a power plant construction company's production to replace the Triton 3.1 (also from Baan) currently in use. The factory uses anonymous production for the parts of the components. The associated value flow, logistical system support and added value tracking for the management are to be designed. A particular challenge here is the documentation for the manufacturer's product liability in the context of quality management.

Supplement

After it becomes evident that a 1:1 migration within the standard software is not possible, the relevant functions are implemented and improved using iBaanERP on the basis of the existing business processes. This involves a temporary parallel operation of the two software systems in order to avoid a complete data migration.

Subject description

The entire job production process is supported for four operations, starting from the receipt of order. Production planning (MRP) is used as the basis for triggering procurement processes and creating production orders. These processes are completely processed through to project completion and the accounting functions operated in SAP R/3 are supplied with data via interfaces. Operative controlling in iBaanERP is reinforced in part by functions developed internally. At one of the customer's sites, a product configurator will be used with rules governing the generation of materials, bills of material and work schedules for production.
