Implementation and connection of web service for car insurance application

Project duration: 1 year, 7 months

Brief description

Implementation and connection of a web service for a car insurance applicationNew development of a web service (SOAP) and connection of an online web application to an existing Citrix XenApp application. The service provides two endpoints for storing and loading data and is required to exchange vehicle insurance data between an online tariff module and the central process and customer database of an insurance company.

Supplement

The newly developed SOAP service provides access to a central database for online applications. A new interface is created to connect a new web application to the existing Citrix XenApp application. When the Web application is called, an encrypted token (JWT) is transferred as a POST parameter that contains parameters with which the SOAP service is called. The SOAP service is implemented in Java. Spring Framework, Java Persistence API (JPA) for data transfer, Maven as a build tool, and GIT for versioning are used. The service runs in a container based on Pivotal Cloud Foundry (Paas). The deployment uses the Cloud Foundry Command Line Interface (CLI). Jenkins is used for build, unit testing and deployment as part of continuous integration.

Subject description

With the introduction of a new online tariff module for brokers and agents, new access to the central transaction and customer database is required. The web service (SOAP) makes it possible to load persons and save tariffs. The online tariff module must be connected to the existing environment.
