Integrating promotion planning into an logistics application

Brief description
An existing logistics application of an international food retailer is extended with features to plan and control promotions in the logistics process and to enable monitoring of promotion orders.
Supplement
The existing logistics application is a C# client application which uses Infragistics in its Winforms frontend and an Oracle 12 database as backend. Via various interfaces (web services, Oracle database links and Oracle Advanced Queueing) several other systems are connected. The PTA team supports the customer in requirements analysis, in implementing the requirements and in testing the software. Furthermore the whole application life cycle of the software is accompanied by the team.
Subject description
Via a newly implemented interface promotion planning data are transmitted from a promotion planning software to an existing logistics application, in which the promotion data are correlated to recurring logistics schemas. Through this correlation the information is shown in a decentral ordering application in the retail countries. The orders from the countries will be checked and verified against the promotion data.
