Introduction Java invoicing module
Brief description
Resumption and implementation of the introduction of an invoicing module in a transport logistics system. The Java-based solution is provided as an invoicing service and replaces the existing C and Cobol programs, taking into account the existing data structures.
Supplement
The project has the following objectives: Test, update and go live of an invoicing module developed several years ago, frozen at that time and not yet used productively in Java. The module replaces an outdated, grown software (in use since 1992) as a better maintainable system. A coexistent use of the new modules is planned (example: invoicing with a new system and printing the documents with an old system); additional output of all invoice documents as XML data for downstream print management systems; storage of the recorded selection results for revision-proof searches.
Subject description
The application is used by the settlement departments of the forwarding agencies. It contains the following functions: Customer invoicing, company invoicing, imputed invoicing, variable selection and summation, sales tax regulations according to new regulations, output of accounting data, output of document data as XML files, output of document book data as XML files and electronic invoice data for data exchange.
