Laboratory Information System (LIS) – medical validation
Project duration: 7 months
Brief description
The system also supports order processing and analysis orders. This includes order receipt (manual/electronic), forwarding of orders to laboratory devices, redesign of the components, medical validation of the laboratory information system. Evaluation rules are provided to help to filter medically significant patient results and allow them to be processed using a special input screen.
Supplement
Important tasks here include analyzing requirements, design, implementation and dispatch of the product. The business logic is implemented in PL/SQL. The scripts are managed in the source control tool MKS. Medical validation is integrated into an existing workflow so that particular value must be placed on a precise analysis. Furthermore, feasibility and customer wishes must be assessed and coordinated in short cycles.
Subject description
Order processing of analysis orders includes order receipt (manual/electronic), forwarding of orders to laboratory devices, analysis results entry (manual/automatic), technical and medical validation of analyses (automatic/manual), creation and forwarding of findings. The system supports tasks in the context of the quality controls specified by the German Medical Association (RiLiBäk). It is highly configurable in terms of the interface, in terms of which process sequences it supports, and in terms of authorizations and reports.
