Managing EEG plants via the EEG Internet portal

This IT project is part of our digitalization and optimization of our customers’ IT landscape. Through targeted measures, we promote technological progress, optimize cross-system processes and create a sustainable basis for future developments. Our IT reference projects serve as a basis for orientation. They support the reusability of tried and tested concepts as part of project implementation.

Project duration: 3 months

Brief description

The EEG Internet portal enables all the participating business partners (distribution system operators and EltVUs) to report, in a structured and electronic form, the extensive information required by the transmission grid operators in order to implement the Renewable Energy Act (EEG) so that this information can then be processed securely and efficiently by the transmission grid operators. According to the EEG, the distribution system operators are obliged, among other things, to report at regular intervals information concerning the EEG plants connected to their network to the transmission grid operator responsible for the area of control This information is needed to forecast the EEG feed-ins to be marketed by the transmission grid operator, among other purposes. In order to simplify this extensive reporting process, the EEG plants will also be managed via the EEG Internet portal.

Supplement

The EEG Internet portal is based on Java and consists of two components that exchange information exclusively using web services. The persistent data are then saved to an Oracle database via a persistence framework.

Subject description

A new, comprehensive function area is created in the EEG Internet portal for managing EEG plants. As this involves a very large number of plants, a convenient search function is also needed. In addition, as an alternative to processing or recording individual plants via appropriate interfaces, it is also possible to process a larger number of messages at the same time, using an upload function. Regardless of the type of message, comprehensive check routines are implemented in order to detect invalid or implausible data and reject it.
