Methodological support for the functional modeling of business processes
Project duration: 4 months
Brief description
As part of a group-wide SAP introduction project, the Purchasing department will be given methodological support for the creation of a detailed specification. Compliance with the company’s established methodological requirements for modeling and documenting business processes in the modeling tool will be ensured by coaching the BPMN modelers (business analysts).
Supplement
For each of the well over 100 planned delivery items (detailed specification), workshops will be carried out with the relevant business analysts and departments, if applicable, in which the created business process models are methodologically and functionally verified. All models must comply with the specifications of the process manual valid in the group, so that the concept can then be accepted by the so-called Quality Gate. Important aspects include compliance with the BPMN 2.0 standards and methodological and technically consistent modeling through all the levels of the business process landscape. The technical tool expert will ensure that all the specifications or templates provided are correctly applied in the Agilian modeling tool. Insofar as the project produces new tool-specific requirements, they will be coordinated with the methodology team and checked for feasibility.
Subject description
The detailed specification for the procurement department includes all value-adding business processes along the article lifecycle, from quotation planning, to supplier and product range management, to the overall marketing plan, and the use of print and online media. Interfaces to other areas such as logistics or sales are already identified and the relevant requirements are described. The detailed specifications for all areas form the basis for the subsequent IT concept.
