.NET migration of an application for weather data

The Oracle DB-based application for reporting and formatting weather data from different sources is used to forecast medium and longer term sales scenarios in the gas business of an energy company and provides interfaces to other systems. The applications’s central program module is the Farpoint Spread, which is used in the forms of the application and emulates the functionality of Microsoft Excel. As part of this project, the entire application will be converted from VB6 auf VB .Net.
