Replacement of an old system for portfolio management of insurance companies

Project duration: 10 months

Brief description

Quality assurance and testing during the replacement of an old portfolio management system. Activities focus on the creation of test concepts and test data concepts, the creation and administration of test cases, the creation of test data as well as the control and execution of release-related acceptance tests. The parallel operation of the old system and the new system with separate data storage, caused by the step-by-step replacement, poses a special challenge, especially due to the numerous existing interfaces to surrounding systems. In order to secure the customer's business, so-called end-to-end scenarios are defined, which describe the most important business processes across the existing systems.

Supplement

The procedure is based on the V-Modell XT or the ISTQB standard. Business processes (end-to-end scenarios) are modeled in the MID Innovator with BPMN. Test cases are managed in the MS Team Foundation Server. Automated test cases are executed via MS Visual Studio. Test data is largely generated synthetically for data protection reasons (DSGVO).
