SAP Retail: support, process optimization and further development

Brief description
Support for and further development of an SAP Retail system used for central enterprise resource planning at a nationally and internationally active commercial enterprise. In addition to coordinating support work, particular support is provided for monitoring the ALE/IDoc connection, job controlling and 2nd level support for the purchasing, logistics and auditing of accounts functional processes.
Supplement
After the joint three-month follow-up support phase, the tasks are successively transferred from the project team to support. SAP Solution Manager is used to help the support team, partly to track error messages and partly to support change management. SAP CPS (formerly Redwood) is used for job controlling. After the transitional phase, ongoing support is transferred in full to the customer’s own team.
Subject description
In addition to using SAP standard functions, further developments need to be considered, such as for campaigns, notices of defects and penalties, as well as interfaces to the branch enterprise resource planning systems, inventory management systems and the supplier portal. Furthermore, process improvements and further developments are carried out, e.g. for early procurement, for penalties and for inventory.
