As part of the application lifecycle processes, a customer from the retail sector uses SAP Solution Manager 7.2 For the preparation of an upcoming S4HANA project, the latest SAP Solution Manager support packages are imported, as well as the Focused Build AddOn for SAP Solution Manager.

In addition to the technical update by importing the Support Packages, the respective specialist processes used – ITSM, change and test management – are checked for the latest changes and, if necessary, incorporated into the existing processes. In addition, authorization roles are adapted in order to use the respective functions. In addition to the existing standard processes in Solution Manager, Focused Build is configured for use in a S4HANA project.

Subject description

SAP Solution Manager is an ALM tool with functions from the areas of incident management, change management, requirements management, test management, system, application and technical monitoring. In addition, it offers functions for project control, process modeling and process documentation as well as their implementation. In the customer situation, the focus is particularly on change management and incident management.
