Brief description
Internally within the group, certain type and yield data is needed from the securities messages database for the purpose of calculating tax data for dividend and debt securities. A technical challenge is performing transfers beyond system borders.
Subject description
The source system is a database based on Oracle 8i containing securities master data. The target system is based on a DB2 database (AS/400) and receives selected data from the source system as needed, via the Transparent Gateway for AS/400 and a PL/SQL procedure. A log table documents the work steps and delivers statistical data. Aim: Automating and increasing the efficiency of exchanging securities master data.
