Brief description
An alternative is sought for an existing BPM application. The central core of the application is a workflow. SharePoint is considered as an alternative. The task is to analyze the existing application, expense indication, concept and technical implementation of a prototype based on SharePoint 2010. The challenge involves the interplay between SharePoint Features and integrated aspx pages.
Supplement
A business process management (BPM) application from Tibco is to be phased out. The version of the application is no longer supported by the manufacturer. The upgrade to the current version is very costly. Furthermore, users complain not only about poor usability but also massive performance problems. The application is used in fund management. It supports the entire business process in the portfolio management of funds. This means reassignment of asset classes, support in selecting suitable assets as well as the release process.
Subject description
The prototype delivers the feasibility as re-implementation with SharePoint 2010. At the same time, the offered features such as user management, tasks, mail and workflows are used primarily for covering the functions. Complex relationships are solved by technical programming means.
