Software testing basics training
Project duration: 1 month
Brief description
As part of the customer's internal training program, PTA conducts webinars on the fundamentals of software testing. The training provides participants with the theoretical foundation of a structured test process according to ISTQB as well as the practical know-how for implementing what they have learned in the application lifecycle management tool SpiraTeam.
Supplement
In addition to conducting the training, PTA is also responsible for its content. The focus is on practical experience and the communication of best practice approaches. Particular emphasis is placed here on defining a suitable test strategy, which defines the methodological approaches for test types (e.g., risk-based and requirements-based testing) to achieve the test objectives. The traceability of the test activities to increase transparency regarding the test and project progress is also emphasized. Traceability is used to determine relevant metrics such as test coverage and requirements coverage.
Subject description
The theoretical part of the training is based on the phases of a structured testing process. The tasks, artifacts and methods associated with each phase are discussed. Using continuous examples, participants learn how to map the activities that occur in the respective phases directly to SpiraTeam. The knowledge gained in this way can therefore be easily transferred to their own day-to-day project work. Theory and practice alternate at short intervals to give participants a direct sense of achievement.
