Creation of a web service for determining the availability of spare parts used within the group. This follows the aim of making host-specific applications generally available.
Supplement
The particular challenge here is that the applications on the host are addressed directly, not via an application server. The PL/1 programs on the host are called via HTTP and SOAP. The web service interface is described using WSDL.
Subject description
The company provides the spare parts logistics for all the affiliates in the group. These affiliated companies are to be given the option of querying the stock of inventory online without needing direct access to the system.
