Brief description
Aim of the project is the development of an automated test environment for a laboratory information system. The new tool shall support the development and integration of software modifications. Continuous test cycles shall improve the quality and maintainability of the entire product considerably.

The automated test framework covers following domains/areas: – Structure of the messages – Functional tests and test regarding the content of the in- and outgoing messages – Workflows – Integration of interfaces to external systems or laboratory instruments, respectively – Compatibility of drivers – Test of performance and robustness of the application – Scalability of the application

In Test automation a program conducts system- or user-transaction on an IT-system, in such that functional, regression, performance, network and/or security tests can be performed.
