Brief description

The customer acts as a transport association in the public transport sector. The customer sells the SemesterTicket product for its affiliated transport companies and local public transport organisations. Before the start of the project, the customer used a Microsoft Access database to manage new SemesterTicket customers and existing SemesterTicket customers. PTA GmbH supports the customer in analysing the current state of the existing sales process, modelling the target process using BPMN diagrams in Microsoft Visio, recording the requirements using user stories (requirements management) and implementing the SemesterTicket sales process in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales.

The target process defined as part of the requirements analysis is implemented in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales using business process flows. The custom entities SemesterTicket and SemesterTicketPosition are used for this purpose. As part of the process, individual email templates are provided to standardise and automate email communication. Initial enquiries by email can be qualified using the Outlook app in CRM. Office 365/Exchange Online mailboxes are integrated for communication. It is possible to record different price constellations and any annual price increases.

The customer acts as a transport association in the public transport sector. The customer sells the SemesterTicket product for its affiliated transport companies and local public transport organisations. Companies or organisations are able to provide SemesterTickets for colleges and universities in order to offer them for use by students on local public transport. The prerequisite is an agreement with the transport association and residence in the area covered by the association. Due to the continuing demand for SemesterTickets, the customer faces the challenge of standardising its processes. Furthermore, the initiation of contracts with interested parties is to be mapped more transparently so that sales controlling is possible. The cloud-based CRM system Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales is to be used for this purpose.
